Kahtryn's visit

the parking lot after 10 minutes of one of our crazy storms!!
Before going to chic fil a

At chic fil a..to see more cow photos go to chick-fil-a.com/pioneerhills

My mother in law came and visited us the 8-13th. It was nice to have her. We went to the capitol and a beautiful catholic cathedral, we went to Molly Brown's house and to Chic-Fil-A. It was international cow day at chic-fil-a so if you dressed like a cow you got a free meal. And I'll go to almost any extent to get free stuff. So Kathryn brought fabric and while Bryce and I were at work she cut out spots and hand sewed them onto our solid colored clothes. I was a white cow with brown spots and Bryce and her were black cows with tan spots. We also had some paper cut out ears and a cow nose we got from their website. We put a sign around our neck that chic-fil-a's cow always has that reads "eat mor chikn." It was really fun. We looked rediculous and I loved it!! They took a picture of us while we were there...I'll try to post it on this post. kathryn took us out to "fine" mexican food and we also went to good times and got a spoonbender. If you have never been there, i suggest you go and get there friends with wild sauce and a toffee carmel spoon bender. They're amazing!
So...Bryce FINALLY said we could get a kitten!!!! Our friend Nichole has an aunt who has like 7 baby kittens she wants to get rid of. I guess they've been inbread over and over again so they're like midget cats when they get old, which I think is awesome. I'm waiting for them to be weened so I can go pick one up. We decided we want a boy and we named him Jasper. They're tabby kittens. I can't wait. I need a little buddy to hang out!! :) Hopefully I'll be able to go get him Sunday! Oh and now I'll have someone to keep me company on the 16 hour drive to College Station since Bryce will be driving the truck and I'll be in the car!
I started packing the day Kathryn left. I have all the books packed, everything off the wall and all the holes from nails and screws puttied! It's fun...it makes it seem like it's closer to the moving date! Bryce's brother Glen and his wife Sasha moved to Dallas area which is 3 hours away from college station and Bryce's sister Melia and her husband Devin are moving to Lubbock which is about 7 hours away. Then Bryce's aunt and uncle also live in Dallas, so we're set! It'll be nice to have family in the same state. I just wish My family were closer! :( I'm awfully homesick! Well I'll stop blabbing, I hope all is well...

crazy weather!

So, it's July right? Because with the storms we have here, you'd never know. EVERY day around 4:00 we have a huge storm...thunder, lightening (only miles away), HUGE drops of rain and wind. Today it just started pouring and the wind was blowing so violently towards the shop I work at that the rain was coming through the seal on the windows!!! CRAZY! then, after 10-15 minutes of total chaos, it stopped and there were blue skies again. Weird, but I love it!

So I packed 2 little boxes today. I put them right back where all the stuff I packed in them was (under the sink) but now we are THAT much closer to being out of here. And...we're leaving Saturday August 15th instead of the 16th around 12:00 noon probably. We just found out Bryce's brother Glen is moving to Dallas for work so we'll probably stop to say hi before continuing to our new home! It's going to be so hard for me to go the speed limit!! I can't wait. work is becoming more and more annoying to me because I'm mentally already gone. I just wanna leave, but the money right now is good. My clientelle has really built and I average about $30-50 in tips, so I really can't complain! I love what I do...and good thing, becuase it really is all I'm good at. I was thinking about it and my resume for anything else other than hair would REALLY suck (or "not be as good as it could be"as my mother in law would say...love you kathryn!!) Good thing I love hair! Well hope all is well and that everyone has a good 4th of July. I'll be working. :) Be safe and have fun!

Fathers Day!

My Dad's always up for a good time...even golfing out in the freezing rain!!
Bryce is going to be such a good daddy!
Just one of the MANY things I enjoy doing with my dad!

dad and his girls

The two men in my life!

So it was sad knowing that Bryce won't be a father as soon as we were hoping, but man is he going to be a good Dad. My dad had such an influence on me and continues to today and so I have high expectations for Bryce as a father to our future children, that i know he'll be able to stand up to.

Some of my most cherished memories are with my Dad. I remember a time he took me four wheeling and i must have surpassed his expectations becuase he bragged about me to everyone that day and i cannot tell you how much that meant to me for my dad to be proud of me! Disappointing him was more of a punishement than getting grounded for a month. I hated letting him down. whenever I made a mistake, he cried with me and loved me...sure he was mad, but he always let me know how much he loved me in the end. I was always jealous of the time Trevor got to spend with dad doing "boy things." Time and time again I'd try to prove that I could do those things too so that I could have the time with my Dad that trevor did, but now looking back I'm just glad we spent the time we did together.

tornados!!

The tornado that struck Aurora, Colorado has been rated an EF1with 100 mph winds by the National Weather Service (actual photo of the tornado 10 minutes from us) :) Cool huh?
So i've never been anywhere with tornados until now. Last sunday while in Sacrament it started pouring hail the size of golf balls. It was so loud on the metal roof. Then tornoado warning sirens went off. There were a few tornados only 10 minutes from our house. It was pretty exciting, but I'm pretty sad we didn't see them. So then on wednesday the sirens went off again so we went outside to look for them, but saw nothing....so we went and played in teh crazy rain storm. I LOVE playing in the rain...Bryce on the other hand likes to be warm and dry. I convinced him finally (after playing in the rain by myself a few times) to ride his bike with me through the puddles and go slip n sliding through deep puddles in the grass. It was pretty fun. We got so muddy and disgusting slip n sliding, but Bryce said he was happy he went...I don't know if it's because he doesn't have to worry about me giving him a hard time anymore or if he had a sliver of fun!! :)

I'm broken

Well, I got the HSG done awhile back and the results came Wednesday. No dye got up to the ovaries which means both my tubes are blocked so the sperm can't get to the eggs. The good news is that my eggs are good and healthy and at this age there are things we can do. There's invetro (15,000-26,000$) or a surgery where they go in through my abdomen and cut out the scar tissue that's blocking my tubes (not as much as invetro but still a lot). we'll probably wait at least a year and pray for a miracle so that it will be free like getting pregnant is supposed to be. Please keep us in your prayers. I know there's a reason for this and am just thankful that bryce and I will still be able to have our own kids. This has been a hard week, but it's getting easier now that it's sunk in. It's hard seeing everyone around me getting pregnant without even trying, but I'm happy for them and just can't wait for that day to come for me and Bryce.

Happy late Birthday kyra!!

Kyra loves Brittany Spears and thinks they'd be best friends...her at a concert

Kyra and her two beautiful girls, Tera and Mazzi

The beautiful family

Lots of foils to give Kyra's Lots of hair lots of blonde!! TOOK FOREVER

My big sister turned 26 on May 31st. Unfortunately she lives in Southern California so I only get to see her about once a year which really sucks!!! She's amazing. She has 3 beautiful kids and no matter how busy she is, her house always looks spotless. She's so thoughtful. She'd always leave me notes in my suitcase or on my bed when I was having a hard time. She never forgets special occasions like birthdays or anniversarys and she's not cheap like me! Even when her husband has gotten laid off a few times and they have a lot of money to pay on their house, she still sends me birthday presents! I wish I could be as stress free as her. She's crafty. She makes the cutest things and her house looks like a model house. She always has the cutest decorations.
When I was in 8th grade I loved to steal her yellow sugar shirt. I'd wear it and then i'd hide it in her closet, like it had fallen off the hanger between two shirts or it was on the ground or something so it didn't look like I was the reason she couldn't find it. I remember once Kyra had me go get hr a stapler from down stairs (I must have stolen it or done something bad) and when I got back up stairs she was waiting around the corner and she slapped me. I still think it's hilarious! Oh and she'd always have me run errands for her....what made it fun for me was after saying "go get the stapler for me or tape or wahtever it was, she'd add 3 magical words...."I'll time you." :)
When we were little, every Sunday we'd play school. We loved this. She's be my teacher, and man was she good. She even went to school to be an elementry school teacher. She looks amazing, 3 kids later, and teaches step aerobics. Although we don't see each other much, it's funny when we get together how much we have in common....our facial expressions, phrases, our sence of humor and our willingness to get out and do things. I am so grateful for my big sister. She's the best...I only wish we lived closer!!! I love you Kyra. Thanks for being so wonderful to me throughout the years.
