Happy Birthday Grandma!!

My Grandma Bickle had her birthday 3 days ago. I just remembered and feel terrible for not sending her a card. Man I'm a terrible grand daugther. My mom used to always have birthdays on our calader at home but since I've moved out, I keep forgetting to put them on my calander.
Well back to my Grandma...She's awesome. I can spend hours and hours just watching her and my grandpa. I can totally see Bryce and I at there age being a lot like them. They're hilarious. She FINALLY retired from working this year and loves working outside. She has EVETHING in her garden (except for sunflowers)!! :) Some things that remind me of my Grandma:
Orange Jello
GIGANTIC steaks!!
mashed potatoes
"man alive!"
"well shoot"
horses
buick car dealerships
IHOP
Rummy
So many things remind me of my wonderful Grandma. I wish I lived closer to her. She's amazing. I love you Grandma!!! hope you had a good birthday and sorry I was late on calling you.

Chuck E Cheese

So I LOVE Chuck E Cheese. I always have...I remember times in high school (like junior and senior year) when a guy would ask me on a date, i'd suggest Chuck E Cheese. They looked at me like "you've gotta be kidding me." But I know deep down they were thinking "SWEET!" but trying to be all manly and stuff! :) It was fun. We went with our friends Matt and Nicole. we got a coupon that included 1 large pizza, 4 drinks, and 100 tokens...plus all the games were only 1 token. It was all only 30 bucks so when we split it between the 2 couples it was only 15 each. Sweet hugh?!! We had a blast. Then i found some cute new white linen pants for onlly 17 bucks. i hate spending money but I had to get them, i've been looking for these pants for years now and finally found some. I'm so excited to wear them tomorrow. I hope to not buy another article of clothing for at least 6 months. I'll post why soon. :) Let's just say I LOVE HAND ME DOWNS!!!

Hiking in Boulder

Yesterday I (Bryce) went on a hike with the scouts to the Royal Arch in Boulder, CO. It snowed about an inch the night before but I didn't think it would affect us in any way. I was wrong. The train was steep and rocky and slippery. A lot of people went up before us so the snow was nicely packed and slippery on the trail. One of the less coordinated kids fell 8 times or so. Everybody fell at least once except me. I'm a snow hiking pro. No one got hurt either. Good thing because we would have left them up there to fend for themselves. The arch was cool. It was super tough getting to it, but it was worth it because the arch will probably be gone in less than 100 years. As you can see, the arch is 2 seperate rocks. The rock on the right fell down in a land slide and hit the rock on the left and stuck there. On one of the pictures you can see the bottom of the right rock. The rocks that are holding up the rock on the right are slipping and the right rock is going to fall sometime soon... or not too soon. But it's moving. The trail was very steep in the steep parts and flat in the flat parts. We averaged one foot up for every five feet travelled. So like I said, the steep were very steep and it was exhausting. It was still fun though.

Happy Late New year!!

Erica, Brian, Bryce and I

for New Years we went to one of Bryce's co-workers/boss house. It was fun. We had a fondu party and watched the ball drop. they have 2 dogs we played with and we played lots of poker for m and m's. It was nice, but the chips kept disappearing mysteriously!

My Basketball team

So, as most of you know I'm a basketball coach for the YOUNG WOMEN in our ward. Well, the first game 6 people showed, 3 from my team and 3 from another so we'd have enough players. Then the 2nd game 4 showed all together so I had to play and the 3rd game 2 of the other teams leaders/coaches were playing so i HAD to play to make it even. Their leaders were being mean. I went in thinking i'd only pass and defend. Well, their leaders made half the shots and had the ball 80% of the whole game. So after it was too late I decided to quit being nice and knock people around a little. My whole team was frustratated, but for the most part we had a good time. We had a 12 year old, 17 year old and 18 year old on our team, none of which had EVER played on a team, it was fun and quite humerous! We made our own shirts and had 2 practices before the first game so I'd say we did pretty good concidering. Well anyways, of the 3 games, we got beat 15-30 and 12-17 and won 7-35 soooo not bad. Good job girls. It was a blast!!!!!

Valentines day!

We celebrated a day early cuz I had to work until 8 on V-Day. Lame, but i was surprised how busy it ended up being. We went to some Mexican restaraunt and Bryce got me the funniest card. First of all let me explain....so..every year bryce complains about how he hates V-day...he says it just gives the girl another excuse to get mad at the guy because they didn't get them teh right thing or enough etc. etc. So...I always tell him, I don't want much, just a sweet card letting me know how much you love me. Last year he got me a card that had something typed in it and he signed his name. It was sweet, but i laughed that he didn't write anything himself. So this time I was really expecting something sweet becuase we like each other a lot more this year than last. :) So I come home to a homer simpson card that when you open it says "I'm whizzing with the door open..and I love it." It's hilarious, but not the mushy stuff I was secretly hoping for. I don't think that day will ever come. Bryce just isn't the romantic type, but I love him just the same! I hope everyone had a good V-Day. We love you

EMOTIONAL

SO....as most of you I'm not a super emotional person. Well ever since I got engaged I've been super emotional. I cried during the movine The Incredibles where at the end mr and mrs. incredible were going to try to kill the big robot and mr.incredible said "I Don't wanna lose you again!!!" Oh man...I was bawling. Any scene where a mother/daughter or father/daugther or son are hugging or saying I love you or anything i lose it. I must really miss my parents! I cry on a daily basis...not like big ol' tears but there is definately some leakage out of my eyes!! Bryce just laughs at me. It's embarassing.
So story time. Like a month ago I was cooking and realized i needed 1 more crucical ingredient. So I asked Bryce if he could run to the store. He seemed kinda reluctant and I asked if he wanted me to go with him or go instead. He acted kinda mad and I said he didn't have to go. He wasn't saying anything and before he left I said "honey are you mad at me" he didn't answer and I heard the door shut. I started getting all teary eyed cuz I thought I had hurt his feelings and he popped out from around the corner. He hadn't really left. He wa just joking . I cried hysterically for 5 minutes as he held me and kept apologizing. I felt so bad. weird hugh? Something is seriously wrong with me.
Oh and yesterday one of my favorite old lady clients came in. She's been growing her hair out awhile...she had this goal hair style we were working towards and she limped over to my chair and explained how she had utarian cancer and had all her reproductive system removed 5 weeks ago. She's probably in her late 70's. Cute old lady who you can tell used to be prom queen. She told me she wanted a boy cut cuz she'd probably have to shave it all of soon for radiation. I cried with her. She just had breast cancer 5 years ago and 1 of her breasts removed. She's just gone through so much. It just broke my heart. I dont' know what' s happening to me. Oh well, I guess I've just finally become a real woman!! :)

Girls ONLY!!! Might be too personal for you boys

So....first off I felt like crap in my southern region....so after about a week or 2 of this, i decided to go to the doctor and get checked out cuz i was in so much pain. She gave me some meds and diagnosed it as BV....bacterial vaginosis....which luckily is quite common so nothing too complicated. Then...after like 1 in a half more weeks all the symptoms of this were kinda gone and I got another UTI...urinary tract infection...I've had these like 13 times so i knew what I had but of course I HAD to get diagnoesd from a doc before they'd prescribe me the pills. Another $15 dollars down the drain just for them to tell me that i did indeed have a UTI. THEN....I went to the pharmacy (wal mart) and told them i had 2 perscriptions in, but one I ended up not needing. So I told them, I needed BACTRIM....she got it, took it out of the little paper back to double check she got the right one and sold it to me. I went home and realized it wasn't the right one. So...since we only have 1 car and the pharmacy was closed by then i woke up early the next morning to ride my bike there before having to be at work by 9. I get there at 8:30 and they tell me they can't sell anything until 9 cuz that's when it opens....federal law or some BS. So I wait until 9 and explain what happened...they said they couldn't get my money back cuz I could have tampered with the pills, understandable, but it was THERE FAULT. They weren't very apologetic and said stuff like "you should have checked it" and "well if you're doc didn't order 2 perescriptions at a time we wouldn't have had this problem." I wanted TO SCREAM!!! Dang wal mart. what was I thinking? But I got my pills, and some other ones I'll NEVER EVER USE....oh well. So on top of the UTI, and BV....I went and got an ultra sound cuz my lower abdomen has been hurting. I haven't gotten ALL teh results back yet but they said i have an ovarian cyst and an enlarged uterus...which they don't know why cuz usually you get those when your prego and I'm not prego cuz on top of ALL this shiz....I was also on my period for some of it. talk about miserable. I'm so sick of all these girly problems...I'm just so scared cuz we want kids so bad...the sooner the better, and it's a bit scary when that area of your body isn't working right. Oh well....hopefully all works out!! wish me luck!

Oregon

So...we want to move to Oregon, but in order to do so Bryce has to get into the University of Oregon for Grad School. that's the one he wants to go to most so we'll be closer to family. BUT....his teacher forgot to send in his letter of reccommendation. Rediculous part: Bryce has had his applications completed since november...and emailed this particular teacher 3 timest about it so had no doubt it had been submitted. The deadline was February 1st....and on the 3rd bryce recieved a letter from the grad school peeps who said it was incomplete. He contacted his teacher who was out of town...and when he finally reached him...it took 2 whole days to finally get it to the grad school deapartment due to wrong fax numbers and laziness on his part. Man oh man was that stressful. Luckily...I think the grad school department is being leanient since it wasn't bryce's fault at all....so hopefully it's still a posibility that he'll get in!! I sure hope so cuz I sure don't want to live in Indiana or Texas. :( I just miss my family!!! I'm a west coast kind of girl i guess!! Wish us luck!!

BUSY BUSY BUSY

Sorry it's been forever. We're still alive, but just barely. :) I'm a basketball coach for the YW in our ward. It's been a blast!! Last week we got smoked 15-30 because one of the girls put on our team (not originally on it) just pranced around with her hands in her pocket and throwing the ball and hoping someone on our team would get it. It was terrible. But...we had fun. This week she didn't show up (luckily) and we smoked them! Only 4 people on my team showed so I got to play. It was so much fun. We won 32-7. It was wonderful....but exhausting without substitutions available.
Now the crazy part. Thursday I played golf at Bryce's course and had a blast. I played 15 holes and was SOOOO sore the next two days. Saturday, the day of the basketball game, Bryce wanted to take trails to the stake center which is about 20 minutes away drving distance. So we rode our bikes up, down, around, everywhere...until we finally made it to the stake center 50 minutes later. It wasn't until we got there that I learned I had to play so we wouldn't have to forfeit. I was already exhausted and sore....and after the game i was pooped. THEN....I went to work and stood for 8 hours....and round brushed/blow dried people's hair all day....I'm so sore an my feet are killing me. Bryce's butt hurts. It was a fun ride, BUT bryce said there weren't hills, that it was flat and easy....LIE LIE LIE!! he probably knew if he didn't tell me that I wouldn't go. I was trying to be supportive wife, cuz that's great that he wants to exercise, but man that was miserable. So I'm pooped and now!!!
I think that's about all that's new here. Life's good other than the fact that I'm still not prego and I've been so dang moody lately, I don't know what's up...but I am mean!!! Bryce tries to avoid me at all costs....and that makes me even more upset/sad. it's a vicious cycle. I guess that's just one of the lovely things about being a girl. :)
