Macie McKay Hannibal

Little Macie has arrived and we couldn't be happier. She is a beautiful, happy little girl who already has so much personality. Delivery went pretty well...here's a brief summary...
  • Arrived at hospital to get induced April 16th at 5:00 a.m.
  • Had 3 different nurses attempt to get the I.V. in....SO painful....3rd time was a success
  • Started on pitocin
  • My Dr. came, checked me...i was at a four, so he broke my water
  • Immediately after I had these intense contractions one on top of the other
  • After about 20 min. of this I asked for an epidural...anesthesiologist arrived and gave me one 20 LONG miserable minutes later.
  • My nurse checked me immediately after epidural...i was at a 10
  • So basically I went without drugs through the worst part, but it was still nice being numb for the pushing and getting stitched up. :)
  • Pushed for about 30 minutes and little Macie was here.....I bawled for about 20 minutes
So that's it...we spent 3 days in the hospital and came home. It's so nice being home. she's much more calm and it's nice getting in a routine. She's a night girl. She's up all night it seems and sleeps most of the day. She smiles all the time and today she laughed....I couldn't believe it. She has a really tight grip and loves to dirty herself as soon as we changer her diaper. This is quite the adjustment, but we are so in love with this little girl!

Our new kitty....PATCHES!!

me and patches watching t.v. :)

So I was going for a walk and this cute little kitty came rubbing against my leg...no color and too skinny. So I got some food and brought it back to her and she ended up following me home. She's been with us a week now. Our cats won't have anything to do with her which is really sad. they just his at her and stay outside to avoid her. :( She just wants a friend poor little girl. I think she's half callico half orange tabby...she's got some funny markings. She is pretty fun to have around!
