We're MOVING!!

So... We're finally moving from this little town of Rexburg and I'm not going to lie...I cannot wait! We've been here in the same apartment and everything for 2 years now and I'm due for a change! I'm so glad I'm not going to have to spend another winter here! We've decided that on September 2nd, we're moving to either wherever hires Bryce (hopefully we'll know soon) or if no one calls him back, then we'll just move to Portland and live above his aunt Barbara. She has a 2 story home and is the only one living there as of now. We'd have cheaper rent and there are a lot more job opportunities there. Plus...it's closer to family....which is always a plus. I'm so excited.

I'm leaving the day after tomorrow and am excited and dreading it at the same time. Being away from Bryce for more than 3 days is new for me and I already know it's going to be pretty difficult for me...but he'll have lots of fun. He's got 10 days full of golfing and studying for his GRE so I Don't think he'll even have time to miss me! I can't wait to go to Shasta Lake and work at the Fun Center. It's funny the things you miss when you're away. It'll be fun to have girl time with my Mom and sister and to be able to spend quality time with my Dad. I reallly miss my family. I still can't believe Trevor's getting married! I'm so excited for him! Well I better go I'm rambling again. You can tell I'm home alone a lot and have no one to talk to hugh? man I'm pathetic! :)

PS...I SWAM ACROSS RIGBY LAKE AND BACK!!! (about 1/2 mile we think)...I still don't know what inspired me to do something like that, but it felt good!

So my friend Holly sent me this picture of her and her husband Phil morphed together so I thought I'd give it a try. It's ridiculous...me and Bryce couldn't stop laughing. His exact words were...."maybe our kids aren't going to be cute."

My wonderful Husband!!

I am dedicating this blog to my amazing husband Bryce. He helps me with all my trials and loves me despite my many flaws! I just thought I'd mention just a few thing I love about Bryce....

• after every shower I find him blow drying the mirror to clear the steam so he can see his handsome face and then he gets his comb and does a sweet comb over and shows me nearly every time!! I never do get sick of it! He thinks it is so funny!!
  
• The dances he does whenever some upbeat music on a movie or something comes on
• His laugh, even when nothing was really that funny and he's the only one rolling!
• His love of going to church....he's definitely got me beat at that!
• His smarts....it amazes me the things he knows about EVERYTHING!!
• How he cuddles with me at night, even when he breathes right next to my face with his sleepy breath!!
• His confidence and outgoingness
• How quick he is to apologize
  
• How hard he works for us so that we're not dead poor!
• How cute he looks when he sleeps and whenever for that matter!!!
• He lets me do whatever I want with my hair and thinks I look great no matter what, well at least he's really good at acting like it anyways!!
• Plays racquetball, tennis, and cribbage with me even though he rarely wins. He's a good sport!

So this is my favorite one so far and it's not even for us. I made it for my brother and future sister in law for their place....I hope they like it.....

so...I woke up at 7:00 a.m. to do an updo and makeup for a girls wedding....and finished up around 9 so i decided....hey i'm already in town I might as well go do something....well being in Rexburg, there's not much to do early or late. But I lucked out...Porter's...my favorite store in the whole world was opened. It was fate too because i was going to look at the price of convas and it just so happened that it was half off!! So all the stuff you see in this picture....2 10x10's 1 12x12 1 18x24 pack of 11 little acrylic paints, a bag of buttons and 3 little bags of mirrors...ONLY $37!!! Not even Bryce can be mad at that. We normally kinda avoid that store cuz it has away of eating a hole through my pocket....but man did i luck out. and plus...it's an investment of my time...now i have something to do...and he's always telling me to get a hobbie and now I do! Oh and the painting on here...I made some changes to spice it up a little....you think it looks better or worse? It's hard to know when to stop!! :)

My new HOBBIE!!

So you know how I was bored out of my mind? Well I picked out a hobbie....somewhat expensive, but I love it. Acrylic painting! The only problem is I can only do modern, abstract stuff so it doesn't occupy much of my time. I did my first one in like 45 minutes....but i love it and it matches our home so good. I love it. what do you think? I just wish the green washers on the green section showed up better.... any suggestions? I"m new at this so feel free!!!

So I was looking at these pictures today and although i don't feel like i ever get my hair done, I get it done a lot more than I realize. And I like it more when i look at pictures than I do when I have it....so from an outsiders perspective.....what do you think....tell me which you like better......thanks

BORED!

So what do you do when you're bored? School's out in Rexburg so I'm left here in my tiny apartment alone until Bryce gets home at 4:30. I've cleaned our house totally spotless, I even vacuumed, cleaned our sheets, went grocery shopping, watched a lame movie, did my hair all fancy, and checked every blog I know. Oh and last but not least, i started writing a story...like a story you'd see in a book...about me...so not that exciting, but it keeps me entertained....makes me feel like there's more drama in my life than there really is. Pathetic hugh? So any ideas?

Well, we've decided that if Bryce doesn't get a job for the winter, we're leaving Rexburg in December when our contract is up here. We'll move to Portland and live above his aunt...cheaper rent and a lot less boring....PEOPLE and restaurants that are open past 10:00....I don't even remember what that's like. I can't wait to get out of here. Rexburg's been great, but enough is enough. I'm leaving for my brother's wedding on July 31st and at first was dreading it because it meant 10 days without Bryce, but I'm so sick of this place, I'm counting down the days until I leave and wishing this week would go by quicker...nothing against Bryce. :)

Well...I'm going to go have a cook-a-thon since I can't think of anything else to do.....you know i'm bored when i decide to cook and dirty up my spotless home!!!! Wish me luck! Love ya all!!

4th of July

Hey! Well, the fourth of July was probably the most boring day of this whole year (so far). Bryce worked until 1:00 and then we just sat around. We did some shopping, thought about what we should do, and that was it. It was quite rediculous. Everyone was out of town for the 3 day weekend. I have never heard of people going HOME for the fourth of July.Weird! But we walked to the 2nd story of our apartment complex and watched the pathetic Rexburg fireworks. We were so bored that day that BRYCE...manly husband Bryce said "we could go to the salon and I could paint your fingernails." So we did....and he did great. And we gave ourselves pedicures....it was pretty sweet. I also made my first potato salad. I've heard they're quite difficult to make, but it turned out PERFECT!! As good as Costco's. :) Well We don't have our nice new camera yet, but i finally got a power cord for our old one...so I'll try to get on it! :) Hope your fourth of July was more eventful than ours!

So, sorry I haven't updated in FOREVER! Our camera broke awhile back and I totally forget that I can still write on here without the pictures....it's just that the picture are my favorite part of blogs! Well...let's see....it's been so long i don't remember what's happened. I was called to Relief Society pianist in my ward and I'm really messing that up. I haven't played the piano for so long and I'm realizing that I'm a lot worse than i thought i would be! So that's embarrassing. We made these really good friends....Morgan and Jeff Gunter....who are in our ward. They're a lot of fun. We went camping last weekend up in Swan Valley. It was beautiful. I love camping...the stars, the birds in the morning, the flowers, the view of the Tetons and the whole valley, hiking, the camp fire and smell of smoke, tin foil dinners, looking like absolute crap and not caring or having a mirror as evidence, peeing in the woods, snuggeling on our double high air mattress.....we end up super close cuz of the weight difference :), and I LOVE watching the coals sparkling in the dark after the fires gone out, and trying to resurrect the fire the next morning. IT was great.
Well other than that, the only really new thing is that I GOLF!! Weird hugh? yeah i didn't see that coming either! Bryce got a new set of clubs so i got his old ones. I only use of them, but I'm getting pretty good. I've only been playing for a month or so, but I have gotten 3 pars already. Bryce is pretty much obsessed. He's been working at a golf course for the last 2 summers now. He's an irrigation tech and is an amazing sprinkler fixer! Last tiem we golfed he got 5 pars and some bogies...only like 3 double bogies. He's pretty much pro (compared to me). Oh and he got me a golf pull cart for HIS birthday....a little weird hugh? Well I THINK that's all the news we have for now. Sorry it took so long.....bye
