Christmas in Cali
Us with the baby!!!
The brave four after a cold rainy game of golf...
So..Bryce and i were originally planning on staying in Colorado for christmas, just me and him. But after Thanksgiving I realized I was a lot more home sick than I had thought and on top of that my sister Kyra had her baby on the 16th of December and I was dying to see her. So last second we bought some tickets and headed out on Christmas Eve.
It was a blast.
I loved seeing Kyra and her beautiful family. She's got the most beautiful children ever. Ashton's 5, Tera's 3 and Mazzi's 2 weeks old. Mazzi was the best baby ever.....rarely ever cried...very content and gorgeous. It was hard to ever put her down. It only enforced that fact that I am SOOOOO baby hungry.
While we were there we went golfing in the freezing rain with my dad and matt (my sister's husband) and we did pretty good considering the conditions. We saw the most beautiful rainbow...it was teh biggest I've ever seen. we had a scary face contest, played guestures, and catch phrase, and watched Nach Libre. Ashton got a pee wee 50 motorcycle from grandpa but he said that it'll be for ALL the grandkids that reach about 5...so that's good news for us too. It's scary seeing him on it since he's just recently picked up riding a bicycle without training wheels, but he loves it. Tera was always dressing up in princess clothes and acting like a kitty cat. She's a doll. She's the best little cuddler and is so beautiful it's hard to ever get mad at her.
We went ice blocking and had a blast. I went down on my tummy with Ashton on my back....painful but fun. I also went tripple with the kids and Bryce went with me on his back. We fed the ducks, went out to pizza and to in and out. It was so much fun spending time wiht family for the holidays and I'm so glad we did it. I got some sweet gifts too...which is always a plus. I did my sisters hair, she looks hot. you'd never guess she just had a baby. She really is amazing. Well that's about it. I love my famiy and am so grateful for the opportunity we had to spend time with them.
My big bruise
So...for those of you who don't know...i'm a big gamer. usually it's the guy who brings the x box or playstation into the marriage, but for bryce and I it was me. I'm still convinced that's one of the main reasons he married me!! :) well anyways...we have this game called Ghost Recon that we absolutely love! we play it nearly every night and one day i was sitting on the floor with my legs under our coffee table and as I was zooming in to see if there were any bad guys to shoot....one popped up right in my screen...it freaked me out and as a result I got this bruise on my leg from hitting the coffee table when i spazzed out. It was there for like 2 weeks. Rediculous.

random
So things are pretty good here. I'm sick of work....wish i could just have a baby and never work again!! thanksgiving was good. Some friends in our ward had us over for dinner. It snowed here yesterday. It was nice...I love the snow. I ride my bike to work though so....it's kinda scary when the sidewalks are all icy.
Bryce and I alreday opened some of our presents cuz we're pathetic. I got him an xbox 360 and rockband. We play everynight and have our own band....called the Hannibal Cannibals. We're getting pretty good!! :) I got 2 sweet cooking pans... I LOVE THEM!! And bryce got himself a laptop for gradschool. It's nice...we love it, but man....why'd he have to buy it around christmas when we're already broke?!! :) oh well. We miss you all....hope you had a good thanksgiving!!
church morons!!
So I was sitting at work in the break room with all of my crude friends and one brought up the fact that they need to start going to church again but would wait until after the holidays because it was too stressful. A girl in there said, "you should go to my church with me this Saturday." The other girl then asked "what kind of instruments play? Do they play contemporary music?" The other girl then explaied that they have a bass guitar, and a good singer and an electric guitar and they clap. can you believe people base what church they go to on instruments? I was in shock. I had to walk away before i really let there hear what was on my mind. What idiots!!! Geez.
happy birthday dad!!

My Dad turned 49 yesterday!! Crazy! It's weird watching my parents get old. You'd never guess they were getting old....he still rides his dirt bike on the 800 mile baja ride 2 times a year and runs like 3 businesses and kneeboards like a pro. I love it. He's always been a great Dad too. We've made a lot of good memories over the last 21 years and I'm so thankful to have him as a father. I really lucked out. Thanks for everything Dad. Thanks for spanking me when I was being a brat and teaching me the difference between right and wrong. I'm grateful I've got a lot of you in me....even my ugly kneecaps or lack of, eyebrows and fingers!
1 daddy memory: One day I was being a brat and my dad slapped my face, pretty lightly but I was uphauled that he would do that. I cried and ran to my room, put some blush on my hand and put a handmark on it so it'd look worse than it was so he'd feel bad. Well, I thought i had done a great job, but I guess I didn't cuz when I went back downstairs and my Dad saw it, he just very calmly put his hand on my back and said "you put make up on your face didn't you?" I was kind of embearassed. Now I think it is pretty hilarious!! I love you dad!!!!

Cruise, christmas of 07' Kyra and Mom....enjoying the sun....funny story behind this picture!!!
October 10th 2008
I was blessed with such an amazing Mom. She's so skilled.....piano, cooking, racquetball, swimming, 500 mile bike rides, baking, toll painting, quilting, sewing....she does it all. She's always been such a great example to me! She is always so in tune to the spirit, which I hated as a teenager cuz she always knew when something wasn't right so I was constantly getting in trouble!! I remember one specific night, I was all ready to sneak out with all my friends and literally 5 seconds before I was gonna sneak out my bedroom door she called up the stairs "Sierra, are you OK?" I said yes and she said "K...I just had a bad feeling." Who knows what would have happened that night if I would hve gone out....I'm just thankful I didn't have to find out. Growing up I gave her a hard time, as teenagers often do, but now that I'm married in the temple and have more household responsibilities, I'm SO grateful for her. I owe so much of who I am to her. Without her and my Dad's love and knowledge of the gospel, who knows where I'd be. I love you Mom....I hope you had a great birthday.....you're the best!!!
