So some friends of our went out of town for 8 days and asked if we could watch their dogs/stay at their home. we thought it'd be fun, but we were wrong. First of all these were the most spoiled dogs EVER...they slept in the bed, on the pillows or under the blanket (wherever they wanted). They woke you up at 2:30 a.m. (like clockwork) and wouldn't stop whining until you took them on a walk. The people's home we stayed out looked like no one lived there when you opened the fridge. They bought us stuff i wrote on a list, but other than that there was nothing! Anyways...longest week ever. I was so happy to get back to our own hairless home! i'm a strong believe that dogs believe outside in a yard, not in a little townhome!!!

house/dog sitting
while we were dog sitting, Bryce's good friend, Jordan, from High school came up to visit us from Boulder where his girlfriend lives! He was a lot of fun. they had a blast!!

when I got bored, I dressed Ellie up in a paper towel bonnet and cape. It was hilarious for me!!
Ellie always looked really sad....but she was a cutie (an annoying one at that though)
the dogs favorite place to be (but only if we were there first)

I guess I'll go to school again.

Well, for everyone who I haven't called yet... (sorry), I should inform you that I have been accepted into the graduate program at Texas A&M. We will be there for at least 5 years because I am getting my Ph.D. It will be fun and I've had a good feeling about Texasfrom the beginning. We will probably get a house too because they are so cheap. My letter said that I wouldn't bec getting an assistantship or anything so that made me nervous. So I wrote the graduate coordinator and asked him a few questions and he told me that some people that were offered assistantship will go to different schools and that other people who are too busy will just reject an assistantship. So he said that funding will be figured out over the next 5 months. I still haven't heard back from Washington St. or Purdue, but unless they give me an offer impossible to refuse, we'll be going to Texas. Tuition is twice as much at WSU and just a little less than twice as much at Purdue. School starts the 31st of August, so we have a lot to do until then. See you all later.

Our trip
So we just got home last night late. Isn't weird how no matter how much you enjoy your vacation it's so nice to get home? We had a lot of fun. The weather was beautiful. 75 degrees and not a cloud in sight. We laid out by the pool, had a hot dog bbq, went on a night time stroll to the grocery store, ate yummy food, went to in n out, watched madegascar 2 and jumanji, went to the Mesa temple and visited with one of my best friends (erin mills) and her hubby. It was a good trip. I'm sure I'm forgetting some stuff, but those are the hi lights. I really enjoyed the temple. The spirit was WAY strong, I even cried!!! It was incredible. there were 2 people going through for their firsts time and it really brought the spirit there even more than usual. I loved it. Oh and then...we went to the visitor center to kill some time before we got picked up and guess who I saw? An old roommate of mine, heidi Beazer....that's not the weird part. SHE WAS A MISSIONARY THERE!! I HAVEN'T SEEN HER SINCE BYU-I WHEN BRYCE AND I WERE ENGAGED!!! How weird is that? Crazy small world. It was quite the shock. Thanks glen and sasha for a good time...it was a blast.

Phoenix
So we're in Phoenix Arizona right now, visiting Bryce's brother Glen, his wife Sasha and 4 month old baby Gaelyn. It's only the 2nd day, but it's been fun. Gaelyn is a cutie and SO content. They have a Wii and we've been learning the ropes on that. It's pretty funny. When we get home I'll post some videos of Bryce and Glen boxing. It's fun to see them together. They're so alike in so many ways. today I'm hoping to see my best friend from college. She was one of my roommates in the dorms. She's 6 months prego and lives like 45 minutes away from here. I can't wait to see her. It's been at least a year now!! WAY TOO LONG!!! Well I better run, these cats are dying for attention right now!! :)

NERVOUS!
So me and Bryce are beginning to freak out. he's been rejected from University of washington, university of Oregon and Colorado University. There's still some more left...
Portland State
Purdue (in Indiana)
Washington State
Texas A and M ? (don't know if that's the right name?)
I'm hoping for either WA or OR since they're near family, but who knows. maybe he won't get in anywhere?!! In that case I think we'll look at all the places we want to live (west coast) and call around to see if he can get a job as a spanish teacher or a golf course where he'll get paid lots! we'll see what happens. We're just freaking out a little cuz we're expecting to move in AUGUST we just don't know where yet. If anyone has anything wonderful to say about Texas or Indiana please let me know so I won't be so against moving there if he gets in!! :) the only things I have learned that I like about both are that houses are cheap so if we move there we're definately goign to buy a cheap little 50,000 dollar home! :) that makes me super excited! :)

no I'm not prego!!
So I guess I started a rumor by saying I won't have to buy clothes for 6 months...people assumed I was prego. unfortunately I am not! I got like 4 bags of jeans and clothes from some friends, that's why I won't have to buy clothes! :) Sorry about the misunderstanding. the reason i didn't say why in the post is because i was going to take a picture of all the clothes I got and post them because it's A LOT!! But now i won't. Hopefully soon I'll be prgo and when i find out, don't worry, I'll let you know! :)
