Howdy from Texas!
well we made it. 16 hours on the road with the kittens crawling all over me and no sleep....not exactly the best trip ever, but we made it. It was fun walking into our home for the first time...scary, exciting, but fun. We got there around 5:00 saturday evening and started going....we tore off the wooden strips holding the paneled walls together, tore off the window frames and door frames, tore off the crappy crown molding (cheap wood to cover the 1/2 inch gap between the walls and the cieling) and called it a night. Then we caulked the seams where the strips had been and primed and textured and primed again. Then we painted the office, living room and our bedroom (2-3 coats) each room, and deep cleaned the house since the people who previously owned it left it trashed! So by wednesday we had everything (except the basboards and crown moulding) done in the master bedroom, office and living room so we could move our stuff in. we had the 26' truck for 6 days so we wanted to get all the texturing done so we wouldn't get it on our furniture. we had some frineds from our AWESOME ward help us move it all in and it went quite smoothely other than the fact that it was 103 degrees and humid as heck. Today we're putting up the baseboards and possibly crown moulding and then we'll finally be able to put things where they belong instead of in the middle of the floor! we love it here so far and the people are AWESOME. Until we had our food/juice we went to sonic everyday for our drinks (rout 44 drinks at happy hour are only $1!) and bought 3 frozen pizzas and yogurts for our other meals. Our best friends here (Cameron and Jenn) brought us some spaghetti that was delicious too. they've been so good to us! Well gotta get back to work...hope all is well. I'll keep you posted! Man am I TIRED!!!!!

I miss you! I'm glad things are going well for you! It's fun having your own place huh?
Your place looks great!! I love the brown color you chose and the red doors are very cool, also the mirrors, headboard and nightstands. You are both so talented!! Looks like your hard work is really paying off.
I love your kittens . . and I don't even know them.
That last comment was your mom's, not peggy's! ( and this one is from your mom too!)
