So...second week at church went great. We like our ward a lot, but everyone's SO OLD! We're by far the youngest couple. All my single friend there are like 23 and it's really weird being 20 and married for 2 years! :) So last week (week #1) they asked me to play the piano...of course I did...and then this week they gave me a key to the building so i could practice whenever I want and I'm sure I'll get the calling officially soon. I guess NO women in the ward play except for the RS president, who's busy enough! So there you have it....how I got a calling the first week of church! :)
So I applied at about 4 salons....3 called back, interviewed and gave me the job, and 1 actually took. It looks like a good place to work. It's called Beauty Brands. They require you're getting an education, and they pay you for going to the hair classses, it's 1 mile away, pays pretty good, and the boss and managers seem great! I'm pretty excited...I'm just waiting for my license to be switched from Idaho to Colorado now! Hopefully it won't be more than 3 weeks from now!
