yet...another nesting project

These are the picture ledges we made. Cool and cheap except the guy at home depot was pretty sure that a woman couldn't tell if a piece of wood was straight or warped. Well, I bet Sierra had a better eye for straight boards than him. Look at the top shelf. What a goober home depot worker.

New nesting project

At church on Sunday this cute little infant was wearing the cutest little bandanna dress. Unlike most bandanna dress it had the triangle parts falling in the front and back, which I loved...so I recreated it! And to match it, I made an elastic headband with some left over scraps. And now we have this adorable little bandanna dress that only cost $1!! LOVE IT!!

33 weeks
32 weeks

So, sorry I've been slacking on taking pictures. This is me at 32 and 33 weeks. People have said I've dropped....I can't really tell. Can you?

new car!!!

I am so happy about this purchase. I hate spending money, but when I get a good deal, I get pretty excited, and THIS was a good deal! 2000 Honda CR-V, 64,000 miles, for $6,400!! LOVE IT! It's going to be perfect for a little family, and I think we'll have it for a long time since Honda's tend to go forever and it's only had 3 owners, 2 of which were in our ward. :) Now we just need to get it insured and registered and we can start driving it around! :)

8 month check up

Today was a good day....we went in to the Dr.'s to get our check up and I asked if there was any chance we could get an ultrasound so I could have pictures for the photo album. He had the time so he went ahead and did it. We found out she's head down/face down (the way she should be when she's delivered) and that the most likely has knee caps...from what he could tell. He's not very accustom to looking for knee caps, but from what he could tell, she doesn't have Nail Patella Syndrome like me, so that's good. We didn't get any good ultrasound pictures because she has her face buried in my back. My Doc said that I'm measuring normal and that everything is looking good. My favorite part of the ultrasound was seeing her tiny little hand clench and then relax....so cute! We're going to try another ultrasound in 2 weeks and hopefully she'll be more cooperative. :) She's still active as can be and keeps me up at night so my Dr. told me to take unisom (a sleeping pill) every night since I need my rest now before she arrives. If i don't take a unisom, I just don't get any sleep. I guess she's just preparing me for when she gets here! :)

As for Bryce and I, I'm still working about 5 hours a day and Bryce is still going to school and work and working on his thesis. he'll be Defending his thesis in mid May and finals are at the end of April, so he's going to have a very busy couple of months. We have been very blessed and I'm giving all the credit to paying tithing. :) Although I've cut my hours back, I haven't had any less appointments...they're just spread out throughout the week so I don't have to work 8-10 hour days. We've been stressed since I'm the main money maker and I won't be working for the 2 months after having Macie, but I'm still making enough now that I think we'll be just fine and not have to use very much of the school loan. Tithing is always kinda hard to pay when it's a big chunk of money, but I'd be more scared to not pay it. :) I know that God takes care of us when we do our part.

The crib is complete!

Here you can see all the layers better
I had this embroidered and LOVE IT!! So cute!
I made the bumpers/ties/skirt and fitted sheet
Cornice and curtain

I just finished sewing the bumpers. I also sewed the skirt and fitted sheet. I totally made it all up so am thrilled that it turned out. I just copied a picture I liked and figured the rest out on my own. I LOVE IT!! With the left over material I made a curtain and a Cornice for over the window. Everything looks so custom since it is all made with the same fabrics. We're in the middle of staining the cubbies to match the crib and we just got our glider in today. It's all coming together quite nicely. I'm so excited to get the nursery done. :) Hopefully only a few more weeks and it'll be finished!! :)

new crafts

Well...my baby shower is this coming Saturday and Bryce and I decided we wouldn't purchase anything big until afterwards....just in case. So...I'm patiently waiting so we can purchase a crib so I can start my baby bumper project. I cannot wait!! So, I've made another onsie dress and a bow holder. My friend Jenn showed me the bow holder idea and i love it. All it is is a cross stitching hoop with fabric over it, a different fabric gathered and sewed to it, a wooden M painted or in this case mod podged with tissue paper, and ribbon hanging on it to clip the bows onto. I think it's absolutely adorable and now all the cute little bows/flowers won't get smashed. :)
