random update

So...I was pretty impressed to get on our blog and see that Bryce updated it....way to go Bryce! I love my hubby!! A few things Bryce didn't mention....

So, Bryce is doing this work our thing called "insanity" and he does it EVERY day (other than Sunday). It's 45 minutes of crazy cardio and it's totally working. He's been eating less crappy and he's looking sexy! :) we took before pictures and we're going to take a picture each month...it's been one month and the results are pretty amazing...I would post the pictures but he says they're too pornographic...which i'd have to agree with. I'm super proud of him....way to go bryce!!

I sold my first set of jewelry....necklace and earrings for $15....it was fun, but not as fun making it for a paying customer instead of for me....much more stressful. I hope she loves it. It's one of my coworkers clients...so we'll have to see. I love trying new things. I recently sewed a dress and I'm getting materials together to make some roman shade with some of my girlfriends. It's been fun trying new things....I pretty much love anything that involves being creative. :)

I hate Office Max....but I'm grateful for the income. I think I'll quit in the summer...but I always feel super guilty quitting so we'll see if I REALLY quit if i'm just all talk. :) My life is pretty monotonous which i totally hate. This is what my day typically looks like...

wake up at 6:30

Work at Aria Salon and Spa 1:00-6:00 p.m

Do Grocery shopping (if needed)

Make Dinner

Clean house

Watch a netflix movie with Bryce or play Halo

Pretty pathetic. Life's pretty much boring as heck! But whatever...once my clientelle is built up and only work at the salon I'll be pretty relieved and happy. Then I'll have more time for me/us.

Last thing- I've just recently discovered nyquil....and I LOVE IT! I don't have as many dreams/nightmares, I sleep pretty sound, I'm not up for 2 hours thinking before I am able to fall asleep and I get kinda loopy...which i like!? Maybe that's weird, but I couldn't figure out why i got so hyper and then i was told there's alcohol in it!! which totally makes sense since I've never taken a sip of alcohol....that it'd affect me so much! Anyways...good thing i've never drank before because i think i'd be an alcoholic...:).

Well my awesome brother in law (Glen) is visiting us and he took us to cheddars for dinner tonight and it was sweet. I love eating good food and not having to cook it and clean up afterwards. It's been really nice having him. I love seeing Bryce with his big brother. So totally opposite, but so similar at the same time....hard to explain!? well better go...they're playing Halo without me and I'm getting jealous. Hope all is well!!

An Update in our not too updatable lives.

Sorry it has been so long since the last update. Wouldn't it be sooo cool if we had something to update about??? (Oh, it's Bryce writing). Hmmmm. Since we got home from the Christmas travels we have just been back to real life. Sierra is working at Office Max and the Salon still. She got fewer hours at Office Max which she is enjoying. I am busy at school. I'm only taking 2 classes right now, but I'm trying to get some of my thesis done this semester. Hopefully I'll have a good chunk finished before the fall semester starts. I'm working at the golf course and doing research for a professor. It keeps me busy. I usually spend my days in my little office. I'm getting tired of the cold. It does get cold in Texas ya know. This morning was really cold. It took me a while to start my bike and once I did get it going then it got REALLY cold. My hair haden't dried all the way so I got a head ache pretty quick. That's how I know if it's really cold. In Rexburg we knew it was really cold because our boogers would freeze. Here I know how cold it is by how fast I get a head ache. It's ok though because in about 6 months I'll be dying for some cold when I'm digging hole on the golf course. I finally got some rain gear that keeps me dry. It's called Frogg Toggs. It's really good stuff. It comes highly recommended by 9 out of 10 dentists. Everyone should get some. Sierra has been making Jewelry. She's good at it. Someone wanted to buy some from her, and I don't know the rest of the story. Sorry for the cliffhanger. Well I need to get back to reading about mulitcolinearity and correlation coefficients. It's going to be awesome!!!!

Bryce and Eli!!

Well...not much has happened, as you can see by the date of the last blog we posted! :) We had a wonderful Christmas. We got a ride from a friend to the Austin airport, flew to Portland and had so much fun there. Everyone except Glen and Sasha were there. We opened presents (All of which were WONDERFUL), we went to Red Robin (since we don't have one in College station) played Beatles Rockband (thanks Ron and Kathryn) and played lots of games. Eli (Melia and Devin's baby boy) was blessed on Sunday and it was so nice to be there for that. He's such a cutie! The dang bishop pronounced Eli...Elly which was annoying, but other than that it was a beautiful blessing!

After 3 days in Portland I took a greyhound to Redding (a miserable 10 hours) and I was able to spend 3 days with my family. It was so much fun. My mom, Kyra, Sandra and I went snowboarding/skiing at Mt.Shasta and had a blast. It was fun spending some time with the girls! I also got to see Romy, Megan, Stephanie, and Samantha Oliver which was so great. They are like family/best friends to me and I hadn't seen them in WAY too long! Bryce arrived in Redding on the Greyhound on Thursday and we had our Christmas at my house. We went frisbee golfing with my Brother and sister-in-law, went mini golfing (twice), enjoyed the updated fun center, and hung out with the fam. It was a blast. Every new years eve/day we go out to dinner and make new years resolutions and I really enjoy that time...reflecting on the goals I made the year before and making new ones. It motivates me to do better and it's fun to see what Bryce's goals are...he set his goals really high and it made me so happy to see what he wanted to do better at.

We missed our cats so much though...well I did...Bryce did too but on a much different level than I did. They won't leave us alone now. They were attention starved so now every night they meow and claw at our door when we kick them out...it's sad and i don't get much sleep, but hopefully they'll get over it soon! :) Oh PS. BRYCE GOT STRAIGHT A'S THIS LAST SEMESTER! and our friends, Jessica and Spencer got married. :) k...I think i'm done now.....hope I didn't bore ya!

Update.... sort of

Hi. It's Bryce. I don't do this often, but then again, I guess I could say we don't do this often anymore. Life is normal. I'm getting to the end of the semester and then I'll get a break for a month. Christmas break is long at normal schools. Right now I'm at school in my cubicle trying to get a research proposal written. It's a big assignment that we've been working on all semester. Sierra is working like crazy. She get a second job and is making us into millionaires. Well, maybe not. She works with a bunch of mean guys at Office Max and a bunch of girls at the salon. Pretty balanced situation. We are both tired today because we drove home from Dallas last night, slept for about 5 hours and then both went to work this morning at 6. Needless to say, we'll sleep well tonight. Well, that's the update. Pretty boring I know. We're excited to make our big trips at Christmas especially since this is most likely the last Christmas time trip we will make. Plane tickets are just too expensive. We think Christmas should be at our house next year. We would have to squeeze in, but at least we wouldn't get cold. So think about it. Everyone's invited. Please RSVP by this time next year.

I got another job

So...the receptionist at Aria Salon just moved to Houston and she wasn't just the Aria receptionist, she was the head cashier at OFfice Max. Another cool thing is the manager at Office max is Shawn's (a girl I work with at Aria) boyfriend. So....I applied and the next day I took the drug test and background check and then the day after that I was hire on officially! So I start Friday. I'll be working from 7:30 a.m. - 2:00 pm at office max and then I'll be working 2-7 at Aria Salon and Spa. So...hopefully once business picks up at Aria I'll lessen my hours at Office Max....but if it doesn't pick up soon, at least I'm making guaranteed wage at Office Max....so I won't have to worry about overdrafting our account everytime I Get gas! Oh and another cool thing...I'll be getting paid 3x the ammount I'm getting paid at Aria in a week and Chuck Norris shops at the office max I'll be at! Cool huh? Well...I'm nervous cuz I think i'll be exhausted, but we need the money and Bryce has school so that's just up to me! wish me luck!

Hey, sorry it's been awhile. things have finally slowed down here. My parents came and visited for my birthday and Bryce made me an eisel!!! Cool huh? So now I'm officially an artist! lol. well work sucks, i have next to nothing at work which means about $50-$100 a week...not exactly enough but lucking bryce is making about $125 every 2 weeks so we have just enough for the bare essentials! So i'm job hunting again. I'm trying to pick up another job and can i just tell you my resume sucks unless i'm applying for a hair job? I've worked at 5 salons in the last 31/2 years and that's it! lame! I love it, but for a resume or application....not so good. I HATE filling our applications! Do most people remember exactly when they start a job and leave? do they really know addresses to all of their refrences and the address to their high schools? Rediculous! haven't these people of the "internet?" I mean come on....if they really care that much about the street address of a persons middle school...LOOK IT UP! Oh well...whatever. Anyways...I hate it and i know that it's going to be bitter sweet if I do get anotehr job...more work, less time with Bryce ( I didn't think that could happen) but we need it and that's that.
School's going good for Bryce...busy but good. He enjoys it and so I'm happy for him, but I never get to see him and he's always saying he wishes I got home later so he wouldn't feel guilty staying at school and getting more work done instead of coming home around when I do (usually 4 or 5). He says I'm a distraction, but I think it's mainly the x box (our new halo 3 donated to us by some friends) and TV. :) I hope all is well for everyone!
