Acne Study

So I am in this acne study right now where I have to go in every morning between 7-9:30 a.m. and every night between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. and get medication applied to my face. Oh and every morning they take a picture from every angle. (not a pretty thing when you have no make up and your hair is slicked back with a head band.) :) After it is applied you can't put makeup on for 2 hours, which totally sucks since I start work at 7:30 a.m. But I'm getting used to it. Anyways...after 6 weeks of this I get paid $2,150!!! Pretty sweet huh?
So one day Bryce was in there with me, you know...Bryce my beautiful skinned husband? Well...one of the old farts that work there was like "is your acne not bad enough to be in the next study?" He was slightly confused, but he got screened and qualified! Totally unexpected. He had 11 pimples...(only 2 of which you could see if you weren't a trained dermatologist) and you need 10 to qualify. So he's going in every morning, put the medication on and get his blood drawn for 6 days and after that he gets $500! It's totally inconvenient but will be totally worth it. we'll be able to pay off some of the school loans and put some in savings which will be fabulous! Anyways....just thought I'd spread the good news!

new hair

So...I colored my hair...again! It was too warm compared to my eyebrows so I colored them too. I can't really decide if I like it or not...good thing I'm a hairstylist so if i don't I can change it! :) what do you think?
before it was more blonde on top
I liked that when I wore it up like this it was 2 toned....
now it looks like this...still has the hi lights but they're like a strawberry blonde...i think I'll like it a lot better after like 4 weeks....so the contrast will be more noticeable.

Nursery...coming to an end

the whole group...nicholas, mia, Henry, Mikey, Sienna, sara (hiding), Justin, KC, Thomas, emma, and Sammy
My little Mia
Thomas
Emma...Bryce's Favorite
Sienna, Mia and Sarah...love my girls!

Well we have been teachers in nursery since September and really love the kids...well most of them! We were offered another calling so it looks like we only have about 3 more weeks with the little ones. I'm really going to miss them. We usually have about 10 2-3 year olds in our class and for the most part they are very well behaved. My favorite is Mia. She is tiny for her age but is so adorable. She has the cutest little voice and speaks very well, which you would never expect from such a tiny little thing. She wants me to hold her the whole time or at least be next to her. I left to go to the bathroom today and when I came back she was bawling...I picked her up and held her and she was just fine. She's my little girl. The one time we were out of town...she had a fit and wouldn't even go into nursery. I love that little girl and look forward to Sunday each week so I can see her! I love being needed and loved. I'm going to miss singing time and the snow man song. I'm really going to miss the kids prayers. Today Sienna started the prayer and I guess she paused for too long because Henry jumped in and said the fastest prayer I have ever heard a 2 year old give...good team work I guess. :) He must have really wanted to eat his snacks!! I'm not going to miss Mikey pushing everyone as hard as he can and not listening to anyone...or his constant drooling! I'm also not going to miss Sweet little kids getting smacked in the head or ran over by the mean kids. I hate seeing the sweet ones cry, but the mean ones...who cares!! :) I'm going to be a terrible mom!! :) It has been a really fun calling. It has made me want kids more but has also made me very thankful for the freedom Bryce and I have not having kids! :)

T ball game

A couple in our ward (Nick and Stacey Meldrum) have the cutest kids. Mitchell's 5 and Faye is 2...they are adorable. Faye is in our nursery group and loves Bryce. We went to Mitchell's T ball game the other night and it was a lot of fun. Can't wait to have some little kidlins of our own!! Bryce will be such a good dad!

My Mom's visit

callaway does this when he wants attention...isn't it the cutest thing ever??? He will do it OVER and OVER!! love that little guy!
Mom and Bryce digging the hole (cutting through a huge root)
attempting to PULL the root out...Not so successful
Early Birds get the worms....MMMM....Shipleys!!
Sunday
The Blue Bell Factory

My mom came to visit us last week and we had a blast! It was so fun spending time with her. I did her hair at the old salon and when I was almost finished putting the foils in, I saw a huge cockroach from the corner of my eye....I looked down, screamed and ran out of the room....leaving my Mom in the chair totally confused. She's brave, unlike me. She got some spray and was ready to kill it but we couldn't find it. So after we washed her hair out we went back to the room to cut it and as i moved the garbage can the giant cockroach ran out from under it. My mom sprayed the crap out of it until it slowed down, swept it up, put it outside and hit it with a broom a few times and called it good. When I had finished her hair we headed out and lo and behold...the cockroach was gone! It had survived all that torture! I hate cockraoches...I've only seek like 3 since we've been here and 2 were dead, but I have a feeling I'm never going to get used to them. I can't kill anything that crunches...NASTY!!!
Anyways...My Mom bought us some plants and flowers and we did some gardening. we bought some plants to cover the hitch in the front of our house...I know it sounds totoally white trash, but I love it...not the hitch, but our home! :) I'm excited for the plants to grow big so you can't see the hitch anymore!!! :) We also went to the Blue Bell ice cream facotry which is an hour away. We showed up and the tour was totally sold out so we watched the video tour and ate a bunch of ice cream...it was delicious and we got some cute pictures! We made lasagna, apple crisp and some yummy avocado dip for quesadillas and ate at Blue Bakers...which is amazing. We woke mom up at 6:30 so she could experience Shipleys Doughnuts...and although she thought we were crazy...I think she realized after having the fresh 6:30 a.m. doughnuts...that it was totally worth it! :) MMM MMM MMMM!!! My Mom is amazing...I love her more and more the older I get. We saw a jacket thing from Miley Cyrus's clothing line and my Mom and Bryce said it was cute...so I tried it on, even though it's WAY too stylish for me and realized they didn't have it in my size. So when my mom went home and saw it on clearance and in my size in Redding, she bought it for me...she's so thoughtful like that! I love her. I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful family. Thanks for visiting mom....we really loved having you in our little home.

update

have I ever told you how obsessed I am with this cat???
my dream hair...one more year!!!
Me and callaway after his flea bath....he's not very happy but he does surprisingly well!!
the HUGE lopsided crazy looking cinnamon rolls....now you know why we can't give them away!
Me and Baby Eli

so sorry about how long it has taken me to make a new post....busy busy busy and honestly nothing too exciting to blog about. our lives are pretty much the same from day to day, but finally there is something to write about. I am switching salons and am so excited. The salon i'm moving to is called Hypnotik. It's in a better location and the owner advertises. I think it'll be a really good move and hopefully there will be less drama than at the salon I'm at now. I am also switching sides at office max. Right now I'm a cashier which i absolutely hate. Same thing...over and over again all day....SO....I'm switching to the copy side. I'll be making business cards, designing things and stuff like that. I think it'll be a good change and I'll actually be able to use my brain and creativity which will be a nice change from ringing people up! So this all takes place next week. Another exciting even coming up is MY MOM'S COMING TO VISIT! She'll be here the 15th through 19th. I can't wait. I love having company. Melia, Devin and their son Eli visited us 2 weeks ago and Bryce's brother Glen visited us last week and like a month ago my best friend Hayley and her friend Dustin visited us from Colorado. It's been nice having so many visitors in our little home and espcially nice having a guest room for them and a sweet air mattress! :)
So conference was last weekend and we made cinnamon rolls....A LOT of cinnamon rolls. Well I love them but we have so many and they don't settle right in my tummy so they're just sitting here. sad. :( We were pretty lame for easter....had some friends over to eat cinnamon rolls with and watched conference and that was it. No eggs, no candy, no nothing. Pretty lame, but I guess that'll happen when you get older and don't have kiddos. Bryce is doing awesome in school. He has allergies really bad and he's been sleeping on the couch so I can sleep. He sneezes, wheezes and haulks loogies pretty much non stop it seems like so i appreciate him sleeping on the couch so I can get some sleep! I think he's going to go get a shot soon because he's so miserable...poor guy. His eyes are blood shot and swollen and he always has a drippy nose. It's pretty sad. He just started riding his bike to work on Wednesdays and Fridays and I'm proud of him for doing that for his work out. I think that's about it...I hope all is well. sorry it took so long, i'll try to do better at this whole blogging thing. :) love ya
